Our Story

In 2015, Roger Bandeen — a Cadillac orthodontist and veteran — dreamt of a park where veterans could go year-round to build community, feel at ease, and heal. Inspired by that dream, Veterans Serving Veterans, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization was born. Soon after founding VSV, Bandeen donated 33 acres of land to break ground on the project. Three years and 2,000 trees later, construction for the park is fully underway — although much more needs to be done.

VISION FOR THE PARK

Our vision is to create a community space that both supports local veterans and brings our community closer together. Construction is underway and we're ready to move forward on several important park features including a 5k cross country course, open air pavilion, chapel, 4,000 seat amphitheater, botanical gardens, guest cabins, memorials, and much more.
